MS Dhoni become the 4th Indian batsman to score 10,000 in ODI

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the 37-year old former Indian skipper, has made several records so far in the Indian cricket history. He has always proved to be the best at everything.

MS Dhoni on July 14th, 2018 became the fourth Indian cricketer to reach the milestone of 10,000 runs in ODIs. He created this record during the second match against England.

He was the only Indian cricketer after some of India’s greatest batsmen Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid to reach that milestone. Dhoni required 33 runs to achieve this milestone, he did it with a single in the 43rd over against England at the Lord’s Stadium.

Dhoni is 12th in the list of all-time highest run-getters in ODIs. Also, he is the second wicket-keeper batsman after Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara to feature in the list. Earlier Dhoni also became the fourth wicket-keeper to complete 300 ODI catches after Adam Gilchrist (417), Mark Boucher (403) and Kumar Sangakkara (402).
