Ashwin and Rohit has been ruled out of the Second Test in Perth

The second Test against Australia in Perth starts on Dec 14, Friday and will end on Dec 18, Tuesday. The 13-member squad for this Test match is released, Rohit Sharma and R Ashwin has been ruled out of it. Prithvi Shaw is also still recovering from his ankle injury that he got during the warm-up game in Sydney.

Earlier during the Adelaide Test, Rohit Sharma sustained a back injury while attempting to field on the fifth day. Ashwin, on the other hand, has been afflicted with an abdominal strain already in the past and now he again sustains strain on his left side.

Ashwin put forward a wonderful play for team India during the first Test in Adelaide. He bowled a total of 86.5 overs which was the most he has bowled in a single Test and bagged six wickets conceding less than two runs per over.

Hanuma Vihari comes in as the replacement for Rohit Sharma to play the second Test in Perth. The last spot will be contested between Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ravindra Jadeja, and Umesh Yadav.

The 13 member squad for the Perth Test is as follows: Virat Kohli (c), M Vijay, KL Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja, Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah and Umesh Yadav.
