The match began at 7.30 AM IST and the New Zealand team captain Kane Williamson won the toss and chose to bat first.

Chahal strikes to trap the big fish by dismissing Ross Taylor (24) in 14.3 over and Tom Latham in 18.5 over. Kedar Yadav replaces Chahal and started to wrap New Zealand innings quickly and released Henry Nicholas for 12 in 25.5 over.

Kane Williamson takes his best shots to save the black caps. Mohammed Shami claimed his third wicket by dismissing Mitchell Santner for 14 runs in 29.4 over.  After a short break, the match began Kuldeep Yadav removes Kane Williamson for 64 runs in 33.1 overs, Doug Bracewell for 7, Lockie for 0 with the help of MS Dhoni from behind. Trent Boult, the last man standing man was finally fired by Kuldeep. An amazing bowling performance from Team India, New Zealand bundled out for 157 runs at the end of 38 overs.

Rayudu comes to bat supporting the team with Shikhar. Shikhar smashed an unbeaten 75 run knock as India chased down the revised goal of 156 runs with 86 balls remaining.
