New Zealand thrashed India by eight wickets and turn the series into 1-3 of the five-match ODI series.

New Zealand won the toss and opted to bowl in the fourth ODI in Seddon Park, Hamilton. Trent Boult claimed a five-wicket haul as New Zealand bundled India for 92 runs in 30.5 overs. Colin de Grandhomme contributed three large wickets, whereas Todd Astle and James Neesham each chipped a scalp. Rohit Sharma looked forward to making his 200th appearance a memorable ODI with a solid performance but lost his wicket cheaply in the 8th over.
It was a glorious day for New Zealand after three consecutive defeats in ODI. Martin Guptill started the small chase of 93 runs target. With their clever shots, they ended up the innings by winning the match. Ross Taylor scored the winning boundary for the black caps and New Zealand beat India by eight wickets. Though the 4th ODI is won by the black caps, the overall One-Day series count is already in favor to India, opening the gates to a Test match against the same.
