Stefanie Taylor wants to win again. The feeling comes in the wake of having won the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. Although it was 4 years ago, she hasn’t forgotten the rush of adrenaline. Beginning February 21st and March 8th, the latest edition of the global T20 event will see the West Indies women’s team contending for the trophy. In an exclusive article, she said that the success of 2016 was one of the most amazing experiences of her career and she would want to feel the same once again. She reminisced that if the team could replicate their performance then they could be able to visualize the light at the end of the tunnel.
The team does have some wonderful players such as Deandra Dottin, who recently came back into the team after being out injured for a long time. Stefanie Taylor feels that Dottinhas the ability to display great form as she did at the previous World Cups. For both bat and ball, the team relies on Deandra as all the options and experiences lie with her. Other players who are being welcomed back are Shakera Selman and Shamilia Connell, who both suffered injuries, and have recovered.
The world will watch some of the best women’s teams competing for the ICC T20 World Cup 2020.
